A start to my Christmas cards!

I have made a start on my Christmas cards for 2011!  I started with Christmas Warren from Craftwork Cards, and slowly making my way through my Warren stash along with co-ordinating papers and Christmas flowers (also from Craftwork Cards).

In this one I have layered the papers from the Christmas Flowers pad from Craftwork cards on square card from Craftwork Cards.  The snowflake frame was stamped with Martha Stewart's Stamp Around the Page (it was a bit tricky to use, but got there in the end).  I wanted to use the Fran-tage embossing powder I bought on Saturday on this but couldn't use a Versmark pad as I couldn't see the image through the plastic, so had to resort to a black ink pad!  The snowflakes are the leftovers when using Martha Stewart's snowflake punches.  Finished with a greeting.

This shaker card was made again with Frosty and Friends also from Craftwork Cards.  Image coloured with Promarkers!

Frosty and Friends coloured with Promarkers - oops - got a bit carried away, should have been a polar bear, not a teddy bear!  Papers, card and candi from Craftwork Cards.  Ribbon from my stash and photo corners are from Anna Griffin.

More from Christmas Warren, Craftwork Card's flowers and papers, ribbon from stash.  The red mount behind Warren is from Kanban and fitted perfectly.

Another shaker card, and this is one of my favouries made so far!  One of the first rossettes I've made, fiddlier than I first thought.

Tonight I thought would colour some more digi-stamps from Digi-stamp Boutique but I burnt my thumb with steam from my iron, and it's still very painful, so giving it a miss for tonight and updating my blog instead!

Saturday 8 October 2011

It's the weekend!

Ahh, it's Saturday at last.  It's a dry start to the day and both my kids are doing the Parkrun 5k at the beach, so up early!  Hubby and I settle for a take-out Cappacino and watch the runners!

Once home, I abandon the family and make a trip to the Papeterie to watch some demos by
Amy Shaw!  Amy was demonstrating Woodware's crafty edge and Stampendous Fran-tage range.  The demos were great with a bit of fun thrown in!

Obviously, I had to buy something didn't I?  I bought the Fran-tage silver crushed glass glitter and the shabby white embossing enamel.  I also bought a pack of Gorjuss girls stamps and the obligatory pack of paper/card stock!

Back home and planning to throw myself into a Christmas crafting frenzy, well I will if I know where to start!  This is a picture of my Christmas crafting goodies, taken down from the attic, but where will I start?  I have started some decoupage preparation so I could go on to making cards from that, or I could do some stamping and colouring with my promarkers, decisions, decisions!

Halloween cards and counting down to Christmas!

Finally got around to my first proper blog post, will take a while to work my way around blog land!

Have been busy topping up my stock of halloween cards these last couple of days. Have been using papers from Pink Petticoat along with digistamps from Digistamp Boutique and some other bits and bobs I have.  I used my promarkers to colour the images in.  I also used some halloween die-cuts from my Silhouette digital die-cutter.

Then I made myself comfy on the sofa watching Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) and got the scissors out to start cutting out decoupage from Tatty Ted to make a start on my Christmas cards!

It's also the beginning of  the October holidays now and I'm off for the next fortnight, so should have plenty of time for making lots and lots of Christmas cards, well I will try!

I will hopefully manage to pop down to the Papeterie tomorrow as Amy Shaw will be demonstrating on Saturday and doing workshops all day on Sunday.

Well back to my Christmas preparation (whilst watching Big Brother and Horse of the Year Show), going to make a start on the gorgeous Warren and Frosty and Friends from Craftwork Cards!
